Zeus' Rescues Requesting Donations, Supplies For Animal Flood Victims

NEW ORLEANS – Zeus' Rescues, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) located at 4601 Freret St., is currently caring for more than 60 animals that have been rescued from flooded shelters in Louisiana including the Sorrento area, Denham Springs and Livingston.

         The shelter anticipates receiving more animals as rescue boats are still pulling animals from the water and off roof tops. Reps said medical attention and supplies are needed. Most of the animals have had minimal vaccinations, they said and all will need spay/ neuters prior to adoption.
