Wormser Joins HREC® As SVP In New Orleans Office

NEW ORLEANS – HREC® Investment Advisors announced the expansion of its brokerage platform with the hire of lodging real estate expert Len Wormser as a senior vice president in a newly opened office in New Orleans.
Wormser has distinguished himself during the last 20 years as the most active and knowledgeable hospitality investment advisor and developer in New Orleans and the surrounding southeast regional market, reps said. He has either sold, developed and/ or financed approximately 5,600 rooms in the region, with a dollar value of approximately $1 billion.
Wormser is also internationally recognized as one of the most knowledgeable hospitality consultants on hotel development and acquisition in the Cuban hotel market.

Prior to Wormser’s affiliation with HREC®, he served as the senior managing director of the NAI/ Latter & Blum Hospitality Division. Previously, he concurrently served as the president of Sizeler Properties REIT (SIZ NASDAQ) taxable REIT subsidiary and managing member/ general partner in FW Development and I-10 Development LLC, during which time Wormser developed more than 1,400 hotel rooms.
Formerly as vice president of acquisitions with Stewart Capital, a $400 million private investment fund and subsidiary of Stewart Enterprises (NADSQ), Wormser was responsible for investing and developing hotels, shopping centers, and condominiums with the firm.
Wormser is passionately involved in the New Orleans community and proudly serves, or has served, on the Tulane University Health Sciences Board of Governors, Isidore Newman School Annual Fund Campaign Chair, president and chairman of the Board of the Young Leadership Council (YLC), the Boards of the Louisiana State Museum Foundation, Contemporary Arts center (CAC), and Bureau of Governmental Research (BGR). He is also a Leman Stern Leadership fellow.
Wormser is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin – McCombs School of Business, has three children and is an avid golfer.
