World Trade Center of New Orleans Board of Directors Welcomes New Members
NEW ORLEANS – Kristi App, vice president of business development and customer service at J.W. Allen & Co. has been appointed to the World Trade Center of New Orleans (WTCNO) Board of Directors.
In addition to her Vice President position at J.W. Allen & Co., App is an alternate industry commissioner on the Louisiana Pilotage Fee Commission. App also holds two appointments within the NCBFAA; one is serving as the Co-chair of the Ocean Carrier Best Practices Committee and the other is the Area 7 (southeast US) representative of the Transportation Committee.
“Kristi has spent her career in the Southeastern Louisiana trade and maritime industry. We are thrilled to add an individual with such deep and meaningful experience in the marine shipping industry to our board,” said Thomas Spiers, World Trade Center Board chairman. “Kristi is another wonderful representative of J.W. Allen & Co. and their long-time support of the World Trade Center of New Orleans.”
The World Trade Center brings together professionals in the regional, national, and international trade and maritime communities.
Founded as the International House in 1943 and as the International Trade Mart in 1945, these two predecessor organizations merged in 1985 and are now known as The World Trade Center of New Orleans – the oldest of over 300 World Trade Centers across the globe.
