WIP Accounting, PlanSwift Estimating Training Workshop Announced

NEW ORLEANS – The volume of work done by a contractor under terms of a contract to date is called work-in-progress. WIP value makes it possible for the contractor to check the time schedule to complete the contract work.
The Urban League of Louisiana will host a Work-in-Progress (WIP) Accounting for Contractors workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Urban League of Louisiana’s Contractor's Resource Center, 4640 South Carrollton Ave., Suite 250, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
This workshop is designed to help participants:
• Discover and track the status of contracts using the WIP schedule
• Utilize earned revenue to determine projections
• Understand profit in a project and how to maximize it
• Budget and set goals
• Track inefficiencies of a project and locate areas needed for improvement
Attendees are asked to bring contracts for current projects along with:
• Contract price
• Total estimated cost
• Billed-to-date
• Actual cost-to-date
Admission costs $10.
