Windsor Court Hotel Appoints New Assistant General Manager
NEW ORLEANS – The Windsor Court Hotel recently named Ralph Mahana, a 10-year veteran of the luxury hotel, as the new assistant general manager.
“I am thrilled to announce Ralph’s promotion to assistant general manager of the Windsor Court Hotel,” said Windsor Court General Manager David Teich. “He has been a devoted employee and valued team member for 10 years, and it’s been a privilege to watch him rise through the ranks while gaining invaluable experience along the way.”
Promoted from his position as director of rooms, Mahana’s tenure at Windsor Court comprises a variety of departmental leadership roles, including operations, front desk, guest services and the hotel’s premiere food and beverage outlets. In his new role, Mahana will be responsible for the divisions of rooms, food and beverage, engineering, safety and loss prevention, as well as information technology.
“I’m proud to be a part of this team, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with all of the operational divisions because it allows me to impact the hotel on a greater level,” Mahana said. “Since there are a lot of long-term employees, there’s a real family atmosphere here. Everyone genuinely wants to provide the best in care and guest satisfaction – that’s what makes Windsor Court so special.”
An alumnus of Tulane University and Isadore Newman School, Mahana is a New Orleans native with well-established ties to the Windsor Court: his family had a standing reservation in The Grill Room almost every Friday during his youth.
“Windsor Court is one of the number one hotels in the world, and it’s in my favorite city in the world,” Mahana said. “I grew up in this hotel, and working here allows me to give back to the city of New Orleans. Although it’s only 32-years-old, this hotel is rich in history – not only for the amazing art collection and the tenured staff, but also because of the incredible guests who have passed through here.”
Also committed to serving the local community, Mahana is also involved with the Louisiana SPCA, The Susan G. Komen Foundation and The New Orleans Ballet Association, among many others.
