Volunteers of America Announces 1 Hire, 4 Promotions

NEW ORLEANS — From the Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana:

Jackie Kellett was recently hired to fill the newly created position of assistant vice president of integrated and behavioral health. Prior to joining the team, she served as the behavioral health program manager at JeffCare. She will spearhead the newly formed Family Focused Recovery program.

Margaret Lewis was recently promoted to the position of comptroller. She will have the overall responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of the organization from a financial perspective. 

Vaughn Phillips was recently promoted to director of the supportive services for veteran families. He started his VOA career  as a volunteer at the Terraces on Tulane after graduating from Texas Southern University in Houston. 

James Zelaya was recently promoted to the position of director of Fresh Food Factor. He has been with the VOA for nearly nine years as the assistant director of kitchen operations.

Larry Packnett was recently promoted to information technology manager. For the past three years, he has helped upgrade the VOA’s technology. Now, he’ll be more involved in software management and upgrades.
