Urban Farm Paradigm Gardens Announce Fall Events Lineup

NEW ORLEANS – In early January 2015, the quarter-acre lot on South Rampart and Clio streets, located a block from the New Orleans Mission, was just another overgrown New Orleans property. But, within weeks, the two-man team of Joel Hitchcock and Jimmy Seely transformed the property into an urban farm and event space by removing more than 2,000 bricks by hand, bringing in truckloads of manure, building seating, a goat pen, a quail coop, bee hives, irrigation, a brick wood-fire oven and grill, and a stage for live music.
Paradigm Gardens, hailed as a magical garden oasis in Central City, has announced its fall dinner/concert series and Pizza & Pie series schedules.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26, Paradigm Gardens will kick off its six installment fall dinner/concert series featuring New Orleans’ top chefs, oyster shuckers, drinks and bands.
The first night features the award-winning chefs from member restaurant Patois, Boucherie, August and Bacchanal, as well as refreshing adult sno-balls from Hansen’s Sno-bliz, scrumptious raw oysters from Two Girls One Shuck and delicious drinks from Courtyard Brewery and Cathead Vodka, Deutch Family wine, reps said. The original Folk stylings of the Zac Maras quartet will be on sonic display, keeping the crowd grooving under the stars.
Entry is $60 and all-inclusive.
