University of Holy Cross Jumps in U.S. News Rankings
The University of Holy Cross (UHC) made a major jump in the latest U.S. News & World Report College and University Rankings. The 105-year-old New Orleans-based university rocketed from #99 to #62 on the annual listing of “Regional Universities, South.” This marks the third year UHC has been ranked on the prestigious national list and the highest-ever ranking for the Marianite, Catholic university.
In addition to the 62nd overall ranking, UHC is also ranked #16 for “Best Value Schools, South;” #388 for “Best Undergrad Nursing Programs, National;” and #136 for “Social Mobility, South.” This is the first time in the school’s history that it has received a ranking in the Best Value and Undergrad Nursing categories. In addition, UHC received an honor for “Ethnic Diversity, South” in this year’s regional universities listings.
“The commitment, dedication and hard work of the entire UHC family was rewarded this week with our massive jump in our latest ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s University Ranking,” said UHC President Stanton McNeely. “Our entire team is extremely motivated by this momentum, and we continue to work on our Marianite founders’ mission of a strong commitment to educating the minds and hearts of our students through freedom of inquiry, the pursuit of truth, and compassionate care for all.”
