TruFund Financial Services, Inc. To Participate In Path To Power Conference During Essence Festival

NEW ORLEANS – TruFund Financial Services is partnering with the U.S. Regional Black Chamber of Commerce and the New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce to participate in a special panel taking place during the 2017 Essence Festival in New Orleans.

The U.S. Black Chambers Community Development Corporation (USBC CEDC) is hosting a free workshop as part of its Capital Pathways Program (USBC CEDC) on Friday, June 30, during the Path to Power Conference at the Essence Festival.

Aisha Benson, executive vice president for TruFund Financial Services, will share her expertise and knowledge of providing access to capital for women and minority-owned U.S. businesses at the workshop. Additionally, the panel will include representatives from Liberty Bank, the National Foundation of Credit Counseling and #YESWECODE.

"This workshop is a great opportunity for minority and women entrepreneurs to learn how to grow their business from different professionals on a national platform," said Benson. "Providing access to capital for U.S. small businesses is extremely important to TruFund. We look forward to providing Essence attendees with practices that will improve the growth of their businesses."

Minority and women entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend the workshop to learn more about commercial lending and equity investment options, contracting matchmaking and credit consultations to build wealth.

Doors will open at 9:00 a.m., and the event begins at noon.

Participants will receive personal recommendations to help grow their businesses and learn how to utilize digital tools to benefit their sales.

"The opportunity to partner with the U.S. Regional Black Chamber of Commerce and the Essence Festival is an honor for our organization," said James H. Bason, president and CEO, TruFund Financial Services, Inc. "Providing pathways to success for small business owners is at the center of TruFund's philosophy, and we are thrilled that Ms. Benson will have the platform to share her expertise with Essence attendees."

This workshop is part of The Capital Pathways program, which includes 10 workshops led by the USBC CEDC. The program's goal is to provide business owners with guidance from experts in the field with a focus on entrepreneurs who have been in business for at least a year.
