Tri-Parish Works hosts two annual job fairs, drawing nearly 1,800 job seekers each year. Job seekers from all backgrounds will be able to explore, apply for, and interview on-the-spot for available jobs across all industries, including entry, mid-level, trade, and professional level positions.

This season’s event brings some high-volume hiring companies like Maximus, (234 customer service reps), Humana (250 positions), VA Hospital (nearly 100 positions), and the New Orleans Police Department (150 police recruits). Companies representing the tech industry, such as CDIT, IT Coalition, and In-Telcom, will be looking for talent. Employers are also planning to fill such high demand occupations as registered nurses and CNAs, and welders and pipefitters. More than 20-percent of the employers will be conducting interviews on-site.

To be successful, job seekers must be dressed to impress and ready to interview on-site. They should bring résumés, along with a positive attitude.
