Tigchelaar Becomes A Member Of Stone Pigman
NEW ORLEANS – The law firm of Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann L.L.C. announced the election of Brooke Crocker Tigchelaar to its membership. She joined the firm in 2008 as an Associate and became a Member on January 1, 2016. "This is a tremendous honor, and I am privileged to work alongside some of the finest lawyers in the Gulf South," Tigchelaar said.
Tigchelaar focuses her practice on litigation involving high net worth individuals and closely held businesses, which often involves fiduciary and information privacy issues. She also has considerable experience in commercial litigation, including products liability, class actions, and oil and gas disputes. Tigchelaar has contributed to several notable firm victories in recent years, including the successful defense of a lawsuit involving alleged imprudence in the operation and drilling of two oil wells.

Tigchelaar was named a "Rising Star" by Louisiana Super Lawyers for the last four years and a "Top Lawyer" by New Orleans magazine for the last three years. She is a Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation and a member of the Mass Torts Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, where she serves as Co-Chair for the Membership and Diversity Sub-Committee. She is also a member of the Federal, American, Louisiana State and New Orleans Bar Associations. In addition, Tigchelaar is a member of the Junior League of New Orleans and volunteers with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project.
Tigchelaar earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2008, where she graduated as a William Crowe Scholar and served as a member of the St. Thomas More Inn of Court, the Loyola Moot Court, and Order of the Barristers.
