NEW ORLEANS – Independent business alliance StayLocal announced that its annual “Small Business Saturday” event will be taking place from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov, 28 at participating New Orleans shops and restaurants. Holiday shoppers will find special holiday deals while they “make a positive impact by shopping small and local this holiday season,” says the nonprofit.

A map of participating businesses will be broadcast on StayLocal’s social media channels and at staylocal.org/nolaholidays.

During a difficult year for retailers and restaurants, StayLocal is encouraging holiday shoppers to increase the amount of support they give local businesses by choosing to shop local online and in person – and by shopping early.

StayLocal is an initiative of the Urban Conservancy, which connects business owners and residents all year long through programs that engage consumers and spotlight local businesses.
