Sizeler Joins Jefferson Business Council

NEW ORLEANS – William (Billy) Sizeler has been admitted as a member of the Jefferson Business Council, an advocacy group made up of influential civic and business leaders working to encourage, promote and enhance the economic posture, social welfare, and environment of Jefferson Parish and the River Region.

         “I’m honored to be asked to join the JBC and its network of civic minded professionals and business executives,” Sizeler said. “I look forward to working with parish executives and business owners to promote economic development, education and social initiatives that will contribute to improving the quality of life in Jefferson Parish.”

         Sizeler is the founder, and one of four principals, of Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects (STBA), a 35-person planning, architecture, and interior design firm located in the Warehouse District in New Orleans.

         For more than 40 years, STBA has handled more than 100 projects in Jefferson Parish. Some of the most significant buildings in the parish include the Jefferson Parish Government Center in Gretna, the John Alario Center (Phase I), and East Jefferson General Hospital’s Domino Pavilion, Wellness Center, Yenni Cancer Center Addition, and Medical Office Building #2.

         STBA is also responsible for the design of the Lakeshore Library, the River Ridge Library (which is under construction), two Jefferson Parish Charter Schools currently in progress, and Loft 18 on Metairie Road (a new sports/ entertainment facility), which opened Tuesday, Sept. 26.
