NEW ORLEANS – From New Orleans and Company:

www.neworleans.com changed its homepage to serve as a resource for locals interested in supporting our restaurant community and workforce by dining via takeout, delivery or drive-through. Our goal is to make this site as comprehensive and current as possible. At present, it includes more than 65 restaurant listings and other information to help our restaurant community, and we will continue to update the site as this situation evolves.

“There is no doubt about the importance of the hospitality industry and the men and women who comprise it. We are focused on our restaurants to help bolster our city’s economy by keeping as many restaurants open and as many people employed, for as long as possible. We will maintain this site constantly to ensure that it is as robust and accurate as it can be,” said Stephen Perry, president and CEO of New Orleans & Company.

Dining options on the site can be navigated by cuisine type, neighborhood, list or map. Each listing includes an address, phone number and website to make it easy for people to connect directly with a restaurant, check their menu offerings and place an order.

The site also links to other resources for finding a great meal in New Orleans such as the Where NOLA Eats Facebook Group and The New Orleans Menu.

Because several restaurants are using the app Toast as an easy way to receive and process orders, we included a link to download that, as well as a link to the Rally for Restaurants program, which is an easy way for people to purchase a gift card from our local restaurants for later use.

As a testament to our resilient spirit here, many of our city’s finest chefs are determined to keep those of us in town well-fed and their employees working, while of course carefully following the recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Louisiana Department of Health, and the City of New Orleans Health Department.

We encourage everyone to visit our site and make plans to receive delivery, pick up curbside or drive-through meals and support the men and women who are working so hard to provide some semblance of normalcy during this unusual time.
