Site Selection: Greater New Orleans, LA Rank High For Economic Development Performance

NEW ORLEANS – Site Selection magazine has released its 2015 “Governor’s Cup” rankings of economic development performance in 2015, and Greater New Orleans and Louisiana have placed high in a number of categories:

 

Greater New Orleans #2  Total Corporate Facility Projects

Greater New Orleans #7  Top Metro By Total Projects (South Central)

Louisiana #2                  Top State By Projects Per Capita (South Central)

Louisiana #4                  Top State By Total Facilities (South Central)

Louisiana #6                  Top State By Projects Per Capita (USA)

 

         According to Mark Arend, editor-in-chief of Site Selection magazine, The Governors Cups reflect yearly project totals as tracked by the Conway Projects Database. Qualifying projects must meet one or more of these criteria for inclusion in the database: a minimum capital investment of $1 million, 20 or more new jobs created, and 20,000 or more square feet of new space.
