NEW ORLEANS — Royal Sonesta New Orleans, a landmark hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, announced the addition of director of rooms Kenneth Jackson and director of engineering Zakaria (Zak) Nyangoro to its executive staff. Details were shared in a press release.

Jackson joins the Royal Sonesta New Orleans team with more than two decades of hotel service and hospitality experience in the New Orleans area. He most recently served as the director of rooms for The Roosevelt New Orleans, where he guided the activities of key guest contact departments, held overall budget approval authority and monitored employee performance. In addition, Nyangoro spent years with Sandals Resorts International, first serving as group chief engineer for the Montego Bay, Jamaica property, then as corporate director of engineering and maintenance in Miami.

“Kenneth and Zak are welcomed additions to the Royal Sonesta New Orleans family,” said hotel General Manager Alfred Groos. “The multitude of experience each brings to the team will be a tremendous asset as we continue to deliver standout experiences for our guests.”
