Royal Sonesta New Orleans’ Desire Oyster Bar, Restaurant R’evolution, The Jazz Playhouse Provide Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief

NEW ORLEANS – This Labor Day weekend, Royal Sonesta New Orleans, located at 300 Bourbon St., will contribute a portion of proceeds from all oyster dishes from its on-property food and beverage destinations, Desire Oyster Bar, Restaurant R’evolution and The Jazz Playhouse, to the Hurricane Harvey Hospitality Employee Relief Fund, coordinated by the Louisiana Restaurant Association and the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

         Proceeds from oyster dishes will go toward Hurricane Harvey relief from Sept. 1 through Sept. 3.

         Royal Sonesta New Orleans is also teaming up with Second Harvest Food Bank to establish three on-property food donation drop-off points at the entrances of Desire Oyster Bar, Restaurant R’evolution and The Jazz Playhouse. Starting this Friday, Sept. 1 through Wednesday, Sept. 6, the hotel will be accepting food items that are non-perishable, non-alcoholic, unopened and in original packaging, including canned goods.

         Guests who drop off a donation will receive a 10 percent discount at Desire Oyster Bar, Restaurant R’evolution and The Jazz Playhouse. Discounts are only valid for same-day visits and not future use.

         Participating guests should alert their server about providing the food item donation to have the discount applied to their bill.
