Rolling Stones Jazz Fest Tix Still Available Via Joieful, Jung Hotel

Wild horses couldn’t drag Nick Eckhardt away from watching The Rolling Stones storm the Acura Stage at the upcoming 50th anniversary of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell.
“When I heard The Rolling Stones were performing at the hottest festival of the year, I knew getting tickets would be next to impossible,” said Eckhardt.
Eckhardt and his wife Marybeth, both 39, live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They didn’t have a nervous breakdown during the locals’ presale at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, when they couldn’t buy $185 tickets for Thursday, May 2, when The Rolling Stones are scheduled to perform. They didn’t get any satisfaction from Ticketmaster when tickets went on sale to the general public and sold out within three hours. And they weren’t shattered when the $675 WWOZ Brass Passes sold out, which would have guaranteed them access to see the band with an additional day-specific ticket purchase.
“I didn’t even try,” said Eckhardt. “My ticket journey started and stopped with Joieful.”
The Eckhardts will be celebrating their fifth Jazz Fest, and Marybeth’s birthday, in style this year at the Jung Hotel & Residences with a “Mista Big Stuff Fest Experience” travel package available exclusively through Joieful that includes a pair of coveted tickets to see The Rolling Stones.
Joieful, a local, fast-growing experiences company that powers the concierge desks and supports the sales, marketing and events teams at many of the largest hotels in New Orleans and distribution partners around the world, has curated four Jazz Fest travel packages for both Jazz Fest weekends (Thursday, April 25 – Sunday April 28 and Thursday, May 2 – Sunday, May 5) that range in price from $3,808 to $5,567 for two people.
Reps said time is on your side since there are about 100 packages left, which means there’s still a chance to score second Thursday tickets, included in the four-night and five-night travel packages for the second weekend.
While many can’t get what they want, the Eckhardts said they got more than they needed. Joieful’s Mista Big Stuff Fest Experiences include luxury round-trip airport transportation to and from The Jung Hotel & Residences courtesy of Limousine Livery; luxury accommodations at The Jung Hotel & Residences; private VIP shuttles to and from Jazz Fest; WWOZ Brass Pass VIP tickets for length of stay including a dedicated entrance and hospitality tent at the Fest; 24/7 access to a dedicated Joieful VIP Concierge to assist with priority late-night show tickets, dinners, tour reservations and any special needs during your stay; daily breakfasts for guests at the hotel; a Jazz Fest Survival Kit; an exclusive signed poster for the Mista Big Stuff Fest Experience; and a complimentary cocktail at The Jung Hotel & Residences bar upon arrival.
“We are deeply honored to serve The Jung Hotel in this once in a lifetime experience for her guests,” said Joieful’s founder and CEO Aaron Dirks. “This is exactly why we started Joieful; to create immersive, unique and authentic experiences on behalf of hospitality companies and travel distributors with the technology to assist in its elevation. We are hard at work creating other unique music and other thematic travel opportunities for our clients’ customers around the world.”
It’s only rock n’ roll, but considering all official Jazz Fest travel packages through CID Entertainment are sold out, all Thursday, May 2, Jazz Fest tickets and all Jazz Fest Big Chief VIP tickets are sold out, and only first weekend Grand Marshal VIP passes and Krewe of Jazz Fest passes are available, Joieful’s opportunity may be one of the last ways on Earth to get into the Fair Grounds to see The Rolling Stones.
“When this package was announced, it was too good to be true,” said Eckhardt, who, with tickets under his thumb, hopes to see The Rolling Stones perform his favorite song “Monkey Man” at Jazz Fest. “In the past, we bought tickets at the gate. But last year, when the city was celebrating its Tricentennial, we saw the magnitude of the crowds and the interest, so this year, for Jazz Fest’s 50th anniversary, I wanted to ensure we would have everything we needed from lodging to tickets.”
“When we contemplated creating a unique package for our guests, our first thought was Joieful,” said Mark Wilson, general manager of The Jung Hotel & Residences, a mixed-use development that includes a 207-room hotel and modern residences located in the heart of the city’s Biomedical Innovation District at 1500 Canal St. “We are very excited about what they have put together for us and our esteemed guests, and we know they will be as well.”
Joieful reps said the idea behind the Mista Big Stuff Fest Experience was to share the magic of the 50th anniversary of Jazz Fest and make it easy for global travelers to find a one-stop shop for everything they needed to enjoy The Rolling Stones Jazz Fest spectacular. Promotional material about the enviable travel packages has been translated into Spanish, French, Italian, German and Simplified Chinese, and Joieful has been getting inquires from around the world.
Since they don’t have a heart of stone, The Jung Hotel & Residences and Joieful have also partnered with No Vacancy News, the hospitality industry’s leading source for in-depth podcasts and relevant video, to offer a chance to win an all-inclusive Mista Big Stuff Fest Experience three-day travel package for the first weekend of Jazz Fest valued at more than $3,800.
“No Vacancy News and the No Vacancy podcast have become the leading way industry insiders love getting the news and insight they need to find business success,” said Glenn Haussman, president of Rouse Media and host of the No Vacancy Podcast. “By partnering with the great folks at Joieful, we’re able to give our loyal listeners a chance for a trip of a lifetime to do what our hotel guests do, have incredible experiences in amazing places with other like-minded people.”
“I recommend going to Jazz Fest to all my friends,” said Eckhardt, who’s anticipating savoring some Crawfish Monica and refreshing Mango Freeze at the Fest. “We’ve booked Joieful experiences in the past, and for domestic and international travelers alike, this package is definitely worth the money.”

No ticket? No problem! It’s not too late to buy a Mista Big Stuff Fest Experience and score tickets to see The Rolling Stones perform at Jazz Fest on Thursday, May 2.
