Resource Bank Celebrates Tenth Branch Location

NEW ORLEANS – Resource Bank celebrated the opening of their newest branch in the Central Business District with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

         In attendance was Ben Johnson, President and CEO of the New Orleans Chamber, to present a plaque and certificate to Resource Bank’s CEO Chris Keller.

         Johnson spoke about the growth and positive impact of small business and community banks in the Greater New Orleans area. Other guests included the Resource Bank Board, members of Arts Council New Orleans and several members from the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce.

         The CBD branch, located at 412 Magazine St., marks the Bank’s tenth customer facility. The corner of Magazine and Poydras Streets is cited as a historical landmark. Architect Verges Rome and Contractor Donahue Favret were part of the renovation.

         Resource Bank is also partnering with Arts Council New Orleans to feature the works of local artists on a rotating quarterly basis in the CBD branch lobby.

         Resource Bank CBD offers full branch services including safety deposit boxes, a deposit accepting ATM, and a Private and Commercial Lending Department.

         Branch Manager Chandler D. Craig and Commercial Lender SVP Karen Tipton are part of the on-site management team.

         Headquartered in Covington, LA, Resource Bank serves the community through ten locations within St. Tammany, Washington, Jefferson and Orleans Parishes. Established in 1998, the institution is owned and operated by over 350 local shareholders and has created approximately 150 local jobs. Resource reported assets of 564 million as of March 31, 2015.
