Orleans Parents Education Network Announces 2015 Award Winners

NEW ORLEANS – The Orleans Parents Education Network’s Public Education Awards will be presented on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Harrah’s Casino Theater, from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., and will honor the school leaders, faculties and students of Morris Jeff Community School, Benjamin Franklin HS and International School of Louisiana.

 

• Morris Jeff Community School – Approaches to School Design & Delivery Award

         Given to a school which has demonstrated a willingness to break the mold in designing a school model that redefines the journey toward excellence inclusive of the needs of students, teachers, parents and community.

 

• Benjamin Franklin HS – Excellence in High School Achievement Award

         Given to a high school which has demonstrated exceptional results — in both academics and culture — in student achievement and development.

 

• International School of Louisiana – Exemplary Language Immersion Education Award

         Given to a school which has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to language and culture immersion as a critical skill in the development of 21st century learners.
