NEW ORLEANS – The Nunez Community College chapter of  the Gamma Beta Phi held its new member induction ceremony on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.  Faculty, staff, students and their families gathered to celebrate the occasion. Newly inducted members include Dionne Small ( Gretna), Tamara Castigtiola (Chalmette), Aubrey Romano (Slidell), Latoria Clay (Slidell), Megan Broussard (New Orleans), Michael Breazeale (Folsom), Carlos Sanchez (St. Bernard), Lauren Vaillancourt (Slidell), Charlene Smith (Violet), Andrea Gonzales (Port Sulphor), Michaelah Winesberry (Violet), Jonique Miller (Port Sulphor), Gabrielle Gremillion (Chalmette), Taylor Gremillion (St. Bernard), Derielle Demolle (Pointe A La Hache), Janie Fuller (Chalmette), Zandra Paige (Marrero).

The Gamma Beta Phi Society is a national honors and service society. Their watchwords are service, scholarship, and character, and they aim to broaden their members’ academic and philanthropic lives so that they may graduate ready to make a difference in the world. Eligible students must have a 3.2 or higher GPA, and have completed twelve credit hours or more, without any developmental classes. A satisfactory GPA  and service to the school and/or community are required for continued membership.
