Nexus Louisiana Announces $50K Investment Prize for Pitch Competition

DownloadBATON ROUGE –  Nexus Louisiana, with the help of Red Stick Angels, has announced that the investment prize for the BREW 10 High-Stakes Pitch competition will be $50,000, pledged by a pool of local accredited investors. This investment sum is subject to due diligence conducted by the High-Stakes Pitch judges, Red Stick Angels and Innovation Catalyst. 

Companies wishing to apply to pitch must meet a set of base requirements to be considered eligible: the company must be based in Louisiana or express a willingness to relocate, the company must have less than $250,000 in annual revenue in 2019, be a legally incorporated business, and have an investable business model with a strong founding team. Awards, investment and participation are subject to judges’ sole discretion and the due diligence process. Companies that have previously pitched for PitchBR are eligible to participate. 

If the above requirements are met, eligible companies may submit applications on the BREW 10 website at There, applicants will also find details about necessary materials, a detailed timeline of events between now and the final pitch, and information on the investors providing the investment prize.

Prospective companies and those wishing to attend the High-Stakes Pitch competition should note that the competition will be held as a hybrid virtual and in-person event on Jan. 21 with in-person tickets being extremely limited to ensure a safe environment for all in attendance.
