New Orleans School Of Ballet To Host 5th Annual Thriller Flashmob Workshop Experience 2016

NEW ORLEANS – Flashmob New Orleans, a local community dance company founded by Kenneth “Kynt” Bryan, is holding registration for its 5th Annual 2016 Thriller Flashmob Experience that will be hosted by the New Orleans School of Ballet.
The eight-week session is open to the public and will be held September 3 through October 29, 2016, on Saturdays, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 717 Adams St., at the corner of Adams and Maple streets.
The program is open to the public and designed for the family.
Bryan, a Loyola Ballet alumnus, artistic director, local actor, dancer, choreographer and performer, will lead classes. He is currently featured on the big screen dancing in the forthcoming Stephane Lapointe directed French Canadian Comedy film, "The Masters of Suspense" as a featured voodoo dancer as well as starring as a principle dancer in the role of "Dance Partner," alongside the Rose Leslie (Ygritte from the HBO series, "Game of Thrones," and Ray Liotta in the forthcoming Amanda Sharpe directed drama, "Sticky Notes").
Bryan can also be seen acting alongside Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone in the mega blockbuster "Grudge Match," and is featured in the Academy Award-nominated film "Dallas Buyers Club" starring Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto. He graduated from Tulane University in 2012 with a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts. Bryan has been a featured guest artist with Loyola Ballet since graduating with a special double contract dance degree in 2002 and has been teaching dance classes throughout New Orleans for numerous schools and organizations for more than 16 years.
Thriller Flashmob Workshop Experience 2016 will trace the beginnings of Michael Jackson's legacy through song and dance as well as feature new and unique secret flash dance themes created specifically for workshop attendees. Each class is designed to build into a showcase that will conclude with several secret flash mob performances throughout New Orleans leading up to Halloween 2016.
“I have had so much fun learning how to dance for the Thriller Flashmob,” pet sitter Michele Abeyta said. “I can't wait to perform it! Kenneth is such a great teacher and his teaching style is positive and entertaining. Even though I'm mostly quiet, I'm really loosening up and having fun and enjoying the workout.”
"Dancing in the Flashmob is a wonderful experience," Marta Bordeaux, a local jewelry designer and retired teacher, said. "The weekend practice provided great exercise, the performances gave even the inexperienced dancer a chance to shine, and the camaraderie developed between the participants was unparalleled."
The cost is $100 for the session or $15 per individual class.
Those who register by August 29, 2016, will receive a $10 discount.
