Tuesday, Oct. 4 – 75th birthday of Anne Rice, American author of Gothic fiction best known for her 1976 book “Interview with the Vampire,” which was made into the 1994 movie of the same name starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Her other novels include “The Vampire Lestat,” “The Queen of the Damned” and “The Witching Hour.” She is the mother of author Christopher Rice.
