Oct. 27 – The Water Institute of the Gulf host the sixth meeting of the Expert Panel on Diversion Planning and Implementation, 8:30 a.m. This session is an opportunity for the panel to assess ongoing efforts in sediment diversion planning in Louisiana and for the public to participate in the process. The meeting includes a series of presentations and panel discussions on various ongoing studies focused on understanding the effects of different sediment diversions related to land building and landscape change, vegetation and the fate of nutrients, fish and shellfish communities, and socio-economics.
