Thursday, Feb. 4 – New Orleans City Council meeting, agenda includes ordinances to establish a new schedule of fines and rental fees relative to parking violations and the use of parking spaces. Ordinance to authorize a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Audubon Commission and the City of New Orleans to facilitate improvements to the Riverview at Audubon Park and the Audubon Nature Center. Presentations recognizing and celebrating Mardi Gras 2016 with the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, the Krewe of Pandora and the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, 10:00 a.m.

Thursday, Feb. 4 – Students at Rudolph Matas Elementary School in Metairie tour the Fidelity Bank and directly interact with bank officials. The bank tour wraps up a month-long partnership with Fidelity Bank and Rudolph Matas that was a part of the FDIC’s Youth Savings Pilot Program intended to educate the students about financial principles, 10:00 a.m.

Thursday, Feb. 4 – Baton Rouge Community College welcomes Lt. General Russel Honore to its Mid City Campus as part of the college's annual Karen Stephens Science Lecture Series and the BRCC Human Rights Initiative. Honore speaks about Clean Water and his efforts restoring New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, 3:00 p.m.
