Monday, Jan. 4 – New Orleans Health Department joins local and federal health care officials to announce the Citywide Day of Enrollment to educate and enroll as many individuals as possible in the Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace (the Marketplace) before the 2016 deadline. Attendees include CEO of the Health Insurance Marketplace, U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Kevin Counihan; New Orleans Health Department Director Charlotte Parent; Director of Navigators for a Healthy Louisiana, which oversees Affordable Care Act enrollment efforts across the state, Brian Burton; and Director of 504 Healthnet, a collaboration of 22 nonprofit and governmental organizations that form New Orleans’ health safety net, Susan Todd, 10:00 a.m.
