Monday, Aug. 29 – Katrina Memorial Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony to commemorate the 11th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Speakers include New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Louisiana State Senators Jean-Paul Morrell and Wesley Bishop, 8:30 a.m. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina killed nearly 2,000 people and displaced one million. Thousands of homes were flooded and destroyed in Louisiana and along the Gulf coast.

Monday, Aug. 29 – Republican Rep. Garret Graves hosts Republican Rep. John Mica on a tour of South Louisiana to assess the damage of the recent flooding, 9:45 a.m.
