Oct. 30 – The Louisiana National Guard present Capt. Andrew Gremillion with the Soldier's Medal, the highest non-combat award, 1:00 p.m. In February 2014, Gremillion saved a person from a submerged vehicle in a canal. The act justifying the award of the medal must entail a personal risk or hazard and the personal choice of risk of their life for another.
