New Orleans Artist Bocage Unveils Official Treme Fall Fest Poster Design

NEW ORLEANS – On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) President/ CEO Mark Romig, District “C” Councilmember Nadine M. Ramsey, Historic Faubourg Treme Association (HFTA) Founding President Naydja Bynum, HFTA President Darryl Durham, and renowned New Orleans artist Rob Bocage gathered outside the historic St. Augustine Church to announce and unveil the official poster for the Second Annual Treme Fall Fest.
The festival is slated for Saturday, October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the grounds of St. Augustine Church with Friday and Sunday events to be included in the weekend festivities.
"It was my honor to be tasked with creating the official poster for the 2016 Treme Fall Fest," said Rob “Nice” Bocage. "The Historic Faubourg Treme’ Association gives so graciously to the city and their neighborhood, and I was happy to commemorate this festival through my work."
Hosted by HFTA, the Second Annual Tremé Fall Fest aims to showcase and celebrate the music, food and arts that are the foundation of Tremé's rich and vibrant culture, and to raise funds to support the architecture, culture, and history of Tremé. The festival festivities are free and will include events from Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2.
To kick off the festival weekend, a patron party will be held on Friday, September 30, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz and Heritage Center. On Saturday, October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Tremé Fall Fest will offer food, arts and crafts and musical performances on the grounds of St. Augustine Church, and on the neighboring streets of Governor Nicholls and Henriette Delille. On Sunday, October 2, St. Augustine Church will celebrate its 175th Anniversary during mass with a reception to follow.
