CLEVELAND, MS (AP) — The lieutenant governors of Mississippi and Louisiana are pairing up to promote tourism in the two states.

Republicans Tate Reeves of Mississippi and Billy Nungesser are scheduled to appear together Wednesday in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Reeves' office says the officials are taking part in a groundbreaking ceremony for a hotel and spa that is being developed. It will be near the Grammy Museum Mississippi, which opened in March.

Mississippi has been promoting its musical heritage in tourism efforts in recent years, while Louisiana has focused on music, food and local festivals.
