Michael DeGruy, COO of Ryan Gootee General Contractors, Purchases a Minority Interest in the Construction Company

Michael DeGruy, chief operating officer at Ryan Gootee General Contractors LLC, has recently purchased a minority interest in the privately held Metairie-based commercial construction company. The announcement was made by Ryan Gootee, RGGC’s president and chief executive officer.

As RGGC’s chief operating officer, DeGruy leads a staff of more than 40 employees and is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations as well as maintaining a focus on strategic initiatives.

“I admire Michael’s organizational skills and talents and very much appreciate his support and counsel as well as the team approach he brings to managing our projects from start to completion,” said Gootee. “Bringing Michael into RGGC as a partner is exciting for both of us and I look forward to his continued commitment to our company.” Gootee and DeGruy have worked together closely since RGGC’s inception back in 2005.
