Metairie Bank & Trust Co. Announces Myers As Northshore Market President
COVINGTON, LA – Metairie Bank announced Paul A. Myers, IV has been promoted to Northshore Market President.
In that capacity he will assume responsibility for the overall development of Metairie Bank’s Northshore Market, bank reps said. He will serve as its ambassador and primary spokesperson there, and lead efforts to grow the Bank’s presence in the market. He will also act as the Bank’s liaison with commercial, public and nonprofit groups to ensure that community enrichment is at the forefront of its Northshore activities.
“Paul and our entire team on the Northshore will be focused on our mission to provide essential services in a community banking atmosphere,” Ron E. Samford, Jr., Metairie Bank President and CEO, said. “He is one of the most visible, up and coming banking leaders in West St. Tammany Parish, which continues to be one of the highest growth areas in Louisiana. As our Market President, Paul will help drive our expansion there.”
Metairie Bank added a second Northshore location last summer and now has a presence in both Covington and Mandeville.
Myers joined Metairie Bank as a commercial lender in 2005. He has been an active community leader throughout his career, serving as a board member of the St Tammany West Chamber of Commerce since 2010, and being named Board Member of the Year in 2012. He is also active with its Small Business Advisory Council, as well as the Northshore Rising Professionals and the Mandeville/ Covington Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He serves on the Board of the Children’s Museum of St Tammany.
Myers has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He and his wife, Shelli, reside in Covington with their two children, Jack and Addison.
Metairie Bank, founded in 1947, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. With assets of $375 million, it is the oldest and largest commercial bank headquartered in Jefferson Parish. It now has nine branches, including two banking locations on the Northshore, in Mandeville and Covington, as well as a full-service remote ATM in Covington.
