Kimberley Singletary

Editor, Biz New Orleans

Award-winning writer and editor Kim Singletary is a Southern California transplant (by way of Canada, Washington, Colorado and Nebraska) who has finally found her perfect home in the land of beignets, zydeco and zero chance of shoveling snow. Her career has included communications work in the performing arts and nonprofit sectors, as well as serving as a writer and editor for a variety of regional and national magazines. In addition to contributing  to the New Orleans Advocate/Times Picayune, Kim has served as the managing editor of Biz New Orleans magazine since its launch in 2014, where she has led Louisiana’s only business magazine to receive multiple national recognitions. Kelly Massicot is a proud New Orleanian, born and raised on crawfish, snowballs and red beans every Monday. After attending Mount Carmel Academy, she stayed close to home and earned a degree in marketing from the University of New Orleans. Along with running the internet, Kelly also writes the New Orleans Bride Magazine blog “Let Them Eat Cake,” which posts new and exciting wedding-related content every day. Rich Collins

Rich Collins is an Emmy Award-winning writer, musician and actor known for the Disney Channel TV series “Imagination Movers.” Rich is the former managing editor of Gambit Weekly newspaper and former president of the Press Club of New Orleans. Rich’s music has been used on “Ellen,” “Good Morning America,” “Wipeout” and other shows. He has performed live on “The View,” “LIVE with Regis and Kelly” and “Good Morning America.” He developed and taught a songwriting curriculum at Loyola University New Orleans. He performs at locations throughout New Orleans including at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Raised in the Washington, D.C. area and educated at the Catholic University of America, Rich moved to New Orleans in the 1990s and lives here with his wife (a local) and five children. Drew Hawkins

Drew Hawkins is a writer, journalist, and the producer and host of the literary podcast Micro. A true son of South Louisiana, Drew was born in Lafayette, raised in Ponchatoula, attended the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts in High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Sarah George was born and braised in New Orleans for 26 years at an average temperature of 95 degrees. Although still simmering in the melting pot that is New Orleans, she dreams of one day expanding her existence into cooler, less humid environments. She received her associate’s degree in visual communications from Delgado Community College, and hopes to continue her education in the near future. Kate grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. After a few years of working in local advertising in Charlottesville, VA, she moved to New Orleans and got her M.B.A from Tulane’s School of Business in 2013. As so many do, she fell in love with New Orleans and didn’t want to leave after graduating. She found herself back in local advertising, married a Tulane classmate, and started a family. Rosa Balaguer Arostegui

Production Manager

Rosa Balaguer Arostegui is a first generation New Orleanian with her roots growing from the Dominican Republic. She attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart for high school and Loyola University of New Orleans for college, majoring in mass communication with a focus in advertising and a minor in visual arts. A recent graduate of Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement, Rosa obtained a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in digital design to enhance her skills in graphic design. Mallary Wolfe

Even though working at Renaissance Publishing is a birthright of Mallary, she is looking forward to learning all the aspects of her family business. Mallary attended Louise S. McGehee and is a proud member of the 14 year club. She graduated in December of 2016 from the University Holy Cross where she received her degree in Psychology of Social Counseling and received the “Outstanding Student in Social Counseling” Award. Mallary enjoys everything outdoors and can be seen most weekends with either a paddle board or camping gear strapped to the top of her Jeep! Jessica Armand was born and raised in New Orleans. After relocating to North Carolina following Hurricane Katrina, she caught the first gator she could find and came running back home in 2015.
