Mayor Landrieu Announces 2018 Commission Leadership For The City’s 300th Anniversary

NEW ORLEANS – Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu introduces the leaders of the committee charged with developing New Orleans’ 300th anniversary celebration in 2018. The 2018 Commission will organize international, national and local partners for the planning of celebrations in honor of city’s history and future.

         The announcement takes place at 11:00 a.m. at Gallier Hall, 545 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, and First Lady Cheryl Landrieu, Walter Isaacson, CEO of Aspen Institute, Dr. Norman Francis, President of Xavier University, James Carville, political commentator, Tom and Gayle Benson, owners of the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans and Leah Chase, Dooky Chase Restaurant, will be in attendance.
