Mayor Celebrates St. Tammany Chamber’s Slidell Location

COVINGTON, La. — Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer and other officials welcomed attendees to a Nov. 12 open house at the St. Tammany Chamber’s new Slidell location. The parish-wide chamber was formed in November 2019.

Also addressing the gathering were Board Chairman Tom Meyer with Benefit Planning Group Insurance and Wealth Management, Board Member Louis Ochoa with NOLA Southern Grill and Board Member Chris Masingill with St. Tammany Corporation.

“The St. Tammany Chamber is proud to represent the entire parish,” said Board Chairman Tom Meyer. “Small and large businesses in this region should be proud to be a part of this organization that is focused on opportunities, business development and advocacy for their growth and benefit. Especially because of this pandemic, this is a crucial time for local businesses to be a part of the Chamber.”

While the Chamber’s Slidell office had a soft opening during early COVID-19 restrictions in May, the Nov. 12 event provided an opportunity for more people to participate while networking outdoors and enjoying refreshments inside the renovated office. A symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony was also part of the event.
