Matthew Pertuit Receives 2022 Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award in Louisiana
NEW ORLEANS — Matthew Pertuit, an associate at Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Recile and Hayes specializing in complex personal injury litigation, received the Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award in Louisiana for 2022 from the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.
“Through a multi-phase selection process, NAOPIA has chosen Matthew to receive our organization’s highest honor because of his hard work and dedication in representing his personal injury clients,” said Pamela Farmer, NAOPIA executive director.
Pertuit, 34, has been with Chehardy Sherman Williams since 2019 and has “distinguished himself as a team player passionate about getting his clients the justice they deserve,” according to a firm spokesperson. He has also been recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyer Rising Star in the plaintiff personal injury division.

Born and raised in Metairie, Pertuit received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. He earned his Master’s Degree in history from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2020. He lives in Mandeville with his wife, Chey, and their daughter, Sophie.
