Family owned and operated, Magnolia Candy Kitchen follows the century old technique of making fresh pralines each day by slowly and carefully blending Louisianan ingredients, including crisp fresh-harvest pecans, creamy farm butter, Louisiana cane sugar, fresh cream and locally made double strength vanilla extract, in copper kettles before hand-spooning them onto thick marble slabs to cool.
Sold in more than 20 locations in New Orleans’ French Quarter, the company’s pralines are made fresh at their Decatur Street location – the same candy kitchen that once housed one of New Orleans’ oldest and most celebrated candy makers, Kate Latter Creole Candies.
