Local CPAs Honored By State Association For Outstanding Services

 

The Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA) recently honored New Orleans CPAs, Robert (Bob) Angelico, Ralph Cox, Alfred E. (Ted) Stacey IV, Nene Gianfala, and Lee Ann Sciambra, for their remarkable contributions to the CPA profession and the community. 

Robert (Bob) Angelico, CPA, received LCPA's Outstanding Discussion Leader Award. The award is presented annually to the Louisiana discussion leader based on evaluations of participants and overall quality of courses. The President and Managing Partner of Liskow & Lewis, Mr. Angelico is a frequent speaker on the topic of state and local tax issues. He also is a past president of the LCPA and its New Orleans chapter.

Ralph Cox, CPA, and Alfred E. (Ted) Stacey, CPA each received LCPA's Lifetime Membership Award to recognize their extensive record of achievement to benefit the future of CPAs throughout Louisiana. A donation will be made in their names to LCPA’s Education Foundation which supports scholarships to accounting students. 

Ralph Cox, CPA, is a retired Managing Partner from Bourgeois Bennett in Metairie. Mr. Cox is a past president of the LCPA and its New Orleans chapter. He serves on the boards and committees of several charities and civic organizations, including the Catholic Foundation, Salmen Family Foundation, UNO Foundation, GPOA Foundation, Fore! Kids Foundation and New Orleans Board of Trade.

Alfred E. (Ted) Stacey IV, CPA, is a retired Partner from Bourgeois Bennett. While there, he handled a variety of tax matters and specializes in tax research and planning for individuals and businesses. Mr. Stacey currently serves as a Member at Large on LCPA's Board of Directors and as an adjunct professor of accounting at UNO and Loyola.

Nene Glenn Gianfala, CPA/ABV, CEIV, ASA-BV/IA, and Lee Ann Sciambra, CPA, received LCPA's Women to Watch Award to honor their many accomplishments as leaders and their work as mentors in encouraging other female leaders to excel and advance in the CPA profession.

Nene Glenn Gianfala, CPA/ABV, CEIV, ASA-BV/IA, was named Women to Watch Emerging Leader. She is a Vice President of the Valuation Group at Chaffe & Associates, Inc. where she provides business valuation services to public and private companies for estate, gift and income tax planning, financial reporting, corporate planning, and employee stock ownership plans and litigation. Ms. Gianfala also performs intellectual property and intangible asset valuations for purchase price allocations, impairment testing, internal asset management, portfolio valuation and litigation support.

Lee Ann Sciambra, CPA, was named Women to Watch Experienced Leader. A Tax Partner and the Managing Partner of KPMG's New Orleans and Baton Rouge offices, Ms. Sciambra devotes her time to both market development and community service, as well as being focused on staff development and maintaining a diverse workplace.
