Local Architecture Firm Ranked No. 9 Among Top Design Firms By Architect Magazine

NEW ORLEANS – Trahan Architects, headquartered in New Orleans with offices in New York and Chicago, has been ranked No. 9 among the top 50 design firms of 2018 by ARCHITECT Magazine, the official journal of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The announcement was shared in a press release.
Architect 50, the magazine’s annual nationwide ranking of firms, recognized Trahan Architects based on a portfolio of current designs which includes the transformation of the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia; the Aurora Event Center in Aurora, New York; Magnolia Mound Turner Family Visitors Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; the Fundo Tic Toc Conservation in Corcovado National Park, Chile; and the Conservation Foundation Headquarters in New Orleans.
“This list represents architectural firms producing the highest level of design in the U.S., today. It is meaningful to us that our New Orleans based practice is being recognize alongside this caliber of nation-wide talent,” said Amanda Huhn, the marketing director of Trahan Architects.
The judges for the Architect 50 program, now in its tenth year, ranked firms on how they performed in the categories of design, sustainability and business. The depth and talent of the participating firms was unparalleled. The final list features a nice mix of small boutique firms and giant multinationals, repeat winners and new practices that scaled the charts.
