LCMC Health Announces Purchase Of Fairway Medical Center
NEW ORLEANS – LCMC Health, a not-for-profit, academic healthcare system comprised of Children’s Hospital, New Orleans East Hospital, Touro, University Medical Center and West Jefferson Medical Center, announced the purchase of Fairway Medical Center, based in Covington, Louisiana. LCMC Health purchased the surgical hospital in partnership with several local, specialty surgeons. The joint ownership is effective immediately.

Fairway Medical Center, which opened in 2000, is a 21-bed, accredited surgical hospital. Featuring 14 procedure/operating rooms, Fairway offers a variety of specialties including spine surgery, orthopedics, bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal medicine, ophthalmology, ENT/ plastics and pain management. In addition to surgical services, Fairway offers imaging services, including X-rays, computerized tomography (CT) scans, and physical therapy.
The Fairway Medical Center purchase is the latest expansion for LCMC Health. Fairway Medical Center is located at 67252 Industry Lane, in Covington. Patients will not experience interruptions in services during the transition, hospital reps said.
