Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) Hosts Workshop for Current or Prospective Nonprofit Board Members and Employees

NEW ORLEANS — On Saturday, Sep. 7, Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) will host Get on Board — a single day workshop providing knowledge and skills to current nonprofit board and staff members, and those that wish to join a nonprofit board in the future.

The event takes place at JLNO headquarters (4319 Carondelet Street), from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is $175 for members and $200 for non-members.

The fee includes presentations and interactive role-playing with nonprofit experts, along with light breakfast and lunch, snacks, and beverages. JLNO will also facilitate a meet-and-greet with other nonprofits who are looking for enthusiastic, trained volunteers to serve on their boards.

“The Junior League of New Orleans is a training organization for its members and we are thrilled to share our training resources with our community through this workshop,” said Christine Vinson, president of JLNO. “We value the impact nonprofits have on building a greater New Orleans and have structured Get on Board to have an effect on board members, their nonprofit organizations and ultimately our community.”

Payment for the event must be received on or before September 6, 2019. If you are paying for more than one attendee and would like to send a check, please email the names of your attendees to getonboard@jlno.org and mail or drop-off a check in the appropriate amount to JLNO’s headquarters.
