NEW ORLEANS —In the world of online marketing, business owners are always tasked with the challenge of setting themselves apart from one another.

On Monday, Sep. 16, The New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network (NOTMC), in partnership with the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corp., will help marketers achieve success through an interactive workshop: In It To Win It: Using Google, Facebook, and other sites to Win Business.

Taught by experts from 360i, NOTMC’s international award-winning agency of record, this workshop will show participants how to boost their search rankings in Google, and leverage their social media channels. According to a press release, it’s part of a series of workshops and panel discussions aimed at helping local, diverse-owned businesses capture more revenue from New Orleans’ growing tourism economy.

In It To Win It takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ashé Power House Theater (1731 Baronne Street). Although the event is free and open to the public, the seating is limited to the 75 people. Register here.

The first half of the program comprises a brief overview of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and features three ways professionals can improve how their business appears in a Google search. It also explores free tools that will enable them to position their website for more traffic (and in turn, increase sales).

The second half of the program will cover social media and offer takeaways on how to use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other platforms as business tools; and it will help business owners find their target audience and connect with them through effective, budget-friendly campaigns.

After the program, experts will answer questions and provide attendees with handouts and direct training resources, so that they can hit the ground running.

Guests can also enjoy light bites by Chef Gary Netter and drinks, including a signature cocktail, while networking with other local businesses.
