HousingNOLA To Unveil Official 10-Year Affordable Housing Plan

NEW ORLEANS — HousingNOLA will unveil its official 10-year strategy and implementation plan to increase access to affordable housing citywide on Thursday, December 11, 2015, at the Myrtle Banks Building, 1307 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., at 10:00 a.m.,

         The plan, which included input from residents and housing advocates and developers in the public and private sectors, outlines solutions and strategies to create and sustain 3,000 affordable housing opportunities by 2018, totaling 5,000 affordable housing opportunities by 2021.

         Those scheduled to attend the press conference include:

 

• City Councilmember District D Jared Brossett

• City Councilmember District B LaToya Cantrell

• Chair, Board of Governors – Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance, Andreanecia M. Morris

• Foundation for Louisiana President and CEO, Flozell Daniels

• Director of Housing Policy and Community Development, City of New Orleans, Ellen Lee

• Interim Executive Director, Louisiana Housing Corporation, Michelle Thomas

• Chief Operating Officer, New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, Brenda Breaux

• Vice President at Enterprise Community Partners, Michelle Whetten

• Alembic Community Development, New Orleans Director, Jonathan Leit

• HousingNOLA Community Review Team Member, Harold Brooks
