Homeownership Housing Fair Heading To Baker

 

BATON ROUGE, La. — South Louisiana residents will have an opportunity to learn how to become a homeowner as the Federal Emergency Management Agency teams up with more than 35 partners at a Homeownership Housing Fair in Baker.

The fair is a one-stop-shop resource for renters who want to buy a home, homeowners whose house needs repair, or a survivor of the 2016 floods still seeking permanent housing.

This will be FEMA’s second housing fair in June which is National Homeownership month. The first Homeownership Housing Fair was held in Denham Springs on June 9. The fair in Baker is scheduled for June 30.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Louisiana Office of Community Development as well as other state and local government agencies, for-profit and non-profit groups will be on hand to answer home buying, home repair and home financing questions.
