Helen Brett Announces Its 2016 Local Beauty Pavilion Honoree

NEW ORLEANS – Helen Brett Enterprises announced that local hair stylist Beverly Daigle will receive the 2016 Beauty Pavilion Pinnacle Award at its upcoming New Orleans International Jewelry and Merchandise Show which takes place from Thursday, May 12 through Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.

         The largest and most eclectic trade show of its kind in the Gulf South will feature the widely-acclaimed Beauty Pavilion where dozens of health, hair and skincare experts will demonstrate their newest products, latest styles and current trends. Jennifer Hale, national TV sports analyst, will emcee the special ceremony on Friday, May 13, when Helen Brett officially presents the second annual Beauty Pavilion’s Pinnacle Award to Beverly Daigle, a local beauty professional who has studied under the guidance of John Jay for more than three decades.   

         The Helen Brett International Jewelry and Merchandise Show will bring to New Orleans an assortment of the latest fashion and jewelry trends, gift shop and boutique items, and cutting-edge technology products. Now celebrating its 64th year in the Crescent City, the Jewelry Show will feature a record number of 500 booths with 270 wholesale exhibitors from around the country who will display the latest styles in jewelry, apparel, perfumes, artwork, home décor and gifts. Nearly 12,000 buyers from across the Gulf Coast region are expected to attend the semi-annual trade event.

         Exclusive, one-day VIP passes, which grant all access to the entire showroom floor, are available at any John Jay Salon or School for the May International Jewelry and Merchandise Show. The May Jewelry Show is also hosting a series of new, exciting events that include an official show opening with a brass band, two yoga classes, a photo booth area and a seminar detailing the “do’s and don’ts” of training for a beauty career.

         Since its first New Orleans show in 1952, Helen Brett Enterprises has hosted more than 200 jewelry trade shows in the Crescent City, attracting millions of visitors to the riverfront. Founded the year after the end of WWII, Helen Brett’s mission was to produce and promote market driven trade shows and conferences throughout the United States. Her legend is still carried out today by the family’s fourth generation who host several trade shows in New Orleans, Memphis and Baton Rouge every year. Four trade shows are held each year at the New Orleans Convention Center in January, May, August and November.
