Harrah’s Fest Celebrates Harrah’s New Orleans’ 15 Years in Southern Louisiana
NEW ORLEANS – Harrah’s New Orleans Casino is celebrating 15 years of gaming, entertainment and fun in the Big Easy this month.
Reps for Harrah’s say they are New Orleans’ only city-integrated casino, and that Harrah’s has created positive economic and social impact for the Crescent City during its 15 years of operation. In addition to welcoming 67.5 million guests through its doors, Harrah’s New Orleans has driven economic development throughout the city by partnering with 11 local hotels and by providing more than $30 million dollars in support of marketing the destination.
“The city of New Orleans has overcome extreme adversity throughout the past 15 years,” said Harrah’s New Orleans Senior Vice President and General Manager Dan Real. “We are honored to have the opportunity to continue to grow within the heart of this great city and we look forward to bringing new, exciting and positive changes to Harrah’s, and New Orleans, for many years to come.”
As a thank you to the New Orleans community and its guests, the casino will host Harrah’s Fest on Oct. 25 as well as offering various culinary and gaming specials throughout the month of October.
Harrah’s Fest will be an exciting day full of live music, fireworks and more. Free concerts will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on two separate stages, one at the Canal Street casino entrance and one at the Poydras Street casino entrance. Following the concerts, a second line parade will lead guests to a fireworks show viewable from Fulton Street.
Guests who visit Harrah’s New Orleans this October will also experience a newly-renovated casino and many updates to the casino’s hotel including décor renovations provided by local artist, Frenchy. In addition to undergoing room renovations, all rooms at Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel are now smoke-free. The newly opened Harrah’s Signature Bar at the South Peters Street casino entrance offers high end cocktails and cigars.
