Gordon Biersch Dishes Out Free Orders Of Garlic Fries To Celebrate National Garlic Day

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Gordon Biersch will celebrate National Garlic Day on Sunday, April 19, 2015, by offering guests a free, regular-sized order of its legendary garlic fries* with any purchase.

The New Orleans Gordon Biersch is located at 200 Poydras St.

Gordon Biersch’s legendary garlic fries are tossed in olive oil and seasoned with freshly chopped garlic and parsley. Dan Gordon, co-founder of Gordon Biersch, was inspired by one of his professors to create the recipe as a late-night snack, while as a student in the prestigious five-year brewing program at the world-renowned University of Munich, Germany.

“Aside from our variety of handcrafted brews, Gordon Biersch is known for its garlic fries, which has been one of our most frequently ordered and longstanding menu items since we started serving them nearly 27 years ago,” said Stan Frankenthaler, chief officer of food, beverage and strategic supply for CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Inc. “We’re excited to celebrate National Garlic Day with our guests and provide them with a great-tasting offer on this fun holiday.”

Earlier this year, Gordon Biersch unveiled its new, chef-driven menu, featuring made-from-scratch, seasonal recipes across the brand’s food, beer and cocktail offerings. Additionally, the restaurant chain began offering a wider variety of beers while staying true to the traditional brewing methods of the Reinheitsgebot or German Beer Purity Law; a wine list comprised of well-known producers from top growing regions around the world; and a fun cocktail menu focused on the classics.

Gordon Biersch is an upscale casual restaurant specializing in local brewing and handcrafted, seasonal foods. Over the years, Gordon Biersch has won many medals for their German lagers, which are brewed in-house according to the Reinheitsgebot purity law of 1516. Most recently, the brand won a Silver Medal for its newest beer – a Belgium IPA at the Great American Beer Festival. Gordon Biersch is located in 18 states across the country and the District of Columbia.

CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Inc. is the largest craft brewery restaurant operator in the country with nearly 200 franchised and company-owned restaurants primarily operating under the Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants and Rock Bottom Restaurants & Breweries brands.
