GNO, Inc. Releases Workforce Analysis Of The Health Sciences Sector
NEW ORLEANS – Greater New Orleans, Inc. released its State of the Sector report on the health sciences industry in the Greater New Orleans region. This analysis focuses on current and future workforce/job opportunities over the next 10 years in the Greater New Orleans region. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana generously provided funding for this report, reps said.
“With nearly 30,000 projected job openings by 2026 in Greater New Orleans, the health sciences sector provides enormous opportunity for well-paying employment in our region and growth of the middle class, if we can appropriately train our workforce for these jobs,” said Michael Hecht, president and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. “I want to thank Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana for their support of this project, which will inform educators and workforce training providers across our region, and ensure we are maximizing our health care assets.”
