Get Online NOLA and Fund 17 Will Host a Free Email Marketing Workshop in January

NEW ORLEANS – If you're a small business owner already setting goals for 2019, stay tuned for news about upcoming events from Get Online NOLA and Fund 17. The two organizations are teaming up for a series of workshops geared towards local entrepreneurs. During their first free event, which happens on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Get Online NOLA and Fund 17 will educate small business owners on the benefits of email marketing. Serah Ridolfo, the vice president of Get Online NOLA, will lead the workshop.

"Email marketing has and will, for the foreseeable future, be your best return on investment as far as marketing efforts are concerned. We'd like to see more small businesses and entrepreneurs utilize the power of email in 2019," said Ridolfo. "Guests will learn all about the do's and don'ts of email marketing so they can achieve great results on their own, without having to spend any money. Plus, there will be some one-on-one workshop time with some marketing pros."

The workshop, entitled Email Marketing 101, will cover email marketing basics, the process of collecting emails and creating sales, and successful email campaign strategies. It will also discuss MailChimp as an email marketing tool. In general, participants will learn how to use email marketing to catch their customers' attention, rather than annoy them, and ultimately increase sales.

Get Online NOLA is a digital marketing consulting group. Fund 17 is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to combat opportunity inequality in the seventeen wards of New Orleans by providing micro-entrepreneurs financial and educational tools for self-empowerment. Ridolfo felt that the two organizations would work well together since they share similar core values.

"Their mission to combat opportunity inequality by empowering micro-entrepreneurs and providing financial and educational tools really speaks to our commitment to level the digital marketing playing field for all local businesses," said Ridolfo. "New Orleans has so much character and magnetism because of all the entrepreneurs and small businesses and we're here to make sure that their one-man-show looks as good online as a business with a dedicated marketing team."
